Community Unity Awareness Month

Borough of Gettysburg

Proclamation

WHEREAS, The Community Unity Steering Committee desires to promot unity among individuals in our community, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, social status, economic status, physical or mental disability, and

WHEREAS, The Committee will host a Community Unity Day event to promote peace and unity with the Gettysburg Area at the Gettysburg Recreational Park on September 2, 2006 from 12 noon to 5 PM, and

WHEREAS, The Community Unity Steering Committee invites all residents of the Gettysburg Area to join with them at that itme to build a stronger, healthier, united community.

NOW THEREFORE I, William E. Troxell, Mayor of Gettysburg, do hereby proclaim September 2006 as

COMMUNITY UNITY AWARENESS MONTH

In Gettysburg, and encourage our residents to join in the Community Unity Day events on September 2, 2006.
